(based on 94 ratings)
Brand: Callaway Golf Pre-Owned & Outlet
Located in: Drivers
The Big Bertha 460 Driver is designed with a geometric shape close to the dimensional limit set by the USGA and Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews for length and width. This enabled Callaway Golf engineers to incorporate a 460cc head design with a shallower face, flatter shape and the highest MOI ever in a Callaway Golf all-titanium head. That means a longer and straighter ball flight on off-center shots. In addition, the Stretched Head Design allows the CG to be positioned deeper within the clubhead to achieve optimum ball flight and maximum forgiveness.

I had always only hit long irons off the tee because I couldn't hit any driver consistently. That all changed with the Big Bertha 460. I love it! It feels like a baseball bat in my hand. My confidence level has gone up and my ability to have a playable ball with great distance has increased dramatically.

I use the 9 degree due to the wind and hard lava fairways all over Hawaii. This club does exactly what I tell it to do. It hits low under the wind and runs my ball 300 yards. If I want it to fade, it does. If I want is to draw, it does. I just can't miss hit with this huge sweet spot! I use to be horrible at driving the ball until this club. I was a big slicer. Not anymore. I dont have to swing as hard with this club, so my drive can now go the distance and stay on the fairways. The only negitive about it is the head cover. I put my old Callaway head cover on it, I guess you can call it my secret weapon.

I am a senior with a slow swing speed. My tee shots with my previous driver almost always wound up with a very low trajectory that stopped soon after landing due to the fairway grass. The Big Bertha 460 HT that I purchased gives me a higher trajectory without costing me any distance in the air, plus now I get some added distance because of bounce.

After taking this club out for the past three months I have come to the conclusion that this is a very inconsistent driver to hit. Although the driver sounds great off the tee and I hit the ball in the middle of the club I find that the ball will fade on one hole and then baby hook on the next making it very difficult to play a hole considering you dont know where the ball will go.

In my effort to learn to drive I've demolished a cheap driver and then moved to a weighted driver to help straighten me out. The Big Bertha 460 sounded like what I needed next so I chose a 11 degree standard flex. It's not a magic club that will solve all your problems but it has definitely taken the edge off some of my errors from the tee. It will fly long and high. Heel isn't painted either which is nice for those mishits. Love it.

The 460 has been replace by the FT-i with a 586 stiff shaft. The Big Bertha 460 has a great feel and can be worked for draw or fade, but I think the weakness is the ProLaunch Blue shaft. I'm going to put a new shaft on the 460, but until then, the FT-i is my driver. UNBELIEVABLE...I can see why 'pre-owned' had so few of these drivers listed. I hit the FT-i just as straight, but 20 yards longer than the 460...but I'm not selling the 460 just yet...

Have always been dedicated to Taylor Made. Tried the Nike Sumo, not a good move, did a trade in on the Bertha 460 after professional fitting. Great move! I was glad I converted to calloway. The results are excellent, longer than TM, and Sumo, a well balanced club and the sound of ball on impact is a sweet & "pure" sound. Very glad I made the change.

I bought this for my wife to replace her Big Bertha titanium. She is a short hitter and a 32 handicap. This club has added 10 - 15 yards carry to her tee shots, with a nice trajectory and helped her 9 hole scores improve by a couple of strokes already. It has inspired her to take lessons and try to improve. It is a good looking club that provides confidence at set up. I bought the the men's version of this in 10 degree loft earlier in the year and was very pleased with the looks, forgiveness, distance and sound. I thought the higher trajectory (13 degree) women's version would would really help her tee game and it has.

I really like this driver, It`s very durable, a friend of mine dropped it on a concrete floor and it didn`t scratch. This thing is crazy long and mega forgiving. There are only two cons. One is that it can be hard to feel where you are hitting the ball. And the other that the head cover does not even close to fit the driver. Mine Ripped in the First Round I played with it because you really have to force it on. Oh, and the stock adila NVS shaft is sweet.

Typical Callaway club. Hits the ball high and hard exactly as it is supposed to. Would recommend this club to everyone. Only con is the retro headcover. The rest of my bag has sleek Callaway Headcovers then I get the 460 and yuck. I tossed it and replaced it with the 454 headcover instead. Hopefully Callaway loses that thing fast. It is so tight I was afraid it might even damage the finish.

I love using my callaway big bertha 460! Its very forgiving and has a very large sweet spot. Even when you mis-hit it you still get the greatest results. The only thing i dont like is the grip, to tacky.

I had a Taylormade R7 Draw Driver and rec'd this as a gift last Father's Day. Sold the Taylormade and kept this Driver...I really couldn't sell a gift. This is probably the best driver i have used yet. I've been golfing for 6 years and will be 56 this summer. I know there are other great drivers out there but this one really fits my needs (age, ability, etc.) and has allowed me to hit my drives within my ability and confidence without the dreaded worry of "slicing". Maybe an occasional push but rarely a slice. This club is very good on off center hits. All around a Great club.

I have played, Callaway golf clubs for a number of years, especially the past 8-10 years since my age was going up and not down and I found that Callaway worked for me. Now, that's is even more a fact and, a happy one, since I am now 80, stand 5'7" and weigh about 139 or less. I bought a Big Bertha 460, 10degree loft with an Adila 55 gram senior graphite shaft. Great for me..not so for my opponents....I get to play the senior tees...and when my drives are either equal to the younger guys or past them, I then get asked to move back to the regular tees. I have actually hit drives around & over the 230 yard mark, with great accuracy and can still shape the drives off the tee. So, what do I think of my Big Bertha Driver?? HOW SWEET IT IS!!!

Nice feel to the driver. For those with faster swing speeds, I definitely recommend getting a customized shaft. It made a HUGE difference in my control and distance off the tee.

I use it while I'm on my golf team and during recreational play. Great club, but if your used to a smaller size club head you'll want to try it on the range a couple of times to get set-up right. I've alaways had a slice problem so this club took awhile to get used to, but now i'm hitting well over 200 and straight. overall a great club.
